Wheelchair Wedge Base

Skil Care Wheelchair Rigid Wedge Base when placed in a chair serves a dual purpose, that is, elevating the front and converting a hammocked fabric surface to a rigid base. The rigid surface helps maintain a neutral seating position while the raised front helps prevent the resident from sliding off the wheelchair. In the event the resident is seated in a reclining back chair, the elevation helps maintain a proper 90 degree hip alignment.

Promotes Proper Posture: Designed with a raised front elevation, this wedge base helps maintain a neutral seating position, significantly reducing forward slipping and slouching. This promotes proper posture and reduces the risk of developing pressure sores and other related issues.

Durable ABS Plastic Construction: Constructed from durable ABS plastic, the wedge base is built to withstand the rigors of daily use. Its robust design ensures long-lasting performance, providing reliable support and comfort for the user.

Customizable and Effective: Available in three different wedge heights (2", 3", and 4"), this base can be customized to meet individual needs, ensuring optimal support. It eliminates the hammock effect commonly experienced with wheelchair cushions, providing a flat and stable seating surface.
