Provides wheelchair positioning control and safety, with a minimal restrictive laptop cushion.

Lap Top Cushions are intended to serve as reminders for residents to ask for assistance before leaving the wheelchair. They also help the forward-leaning resident maintain an upright sitting posture by providing a support foundation for his/her arms or elbows. Lap Top Cushions provide a convenient surface for the resident to place personal items or rest his/her hands while holding reading material.

 

Perfect Fit & Secure Support: Designed to fit wheelchairs between 16 to 18 inches in width, this provides a secure, padded tray that offers patients a stable surface for various activities, enhancing their overall wheelchair experience.

Comfortable & Easy to Clean: The Skil-Care Lap Top Cushion is crafted with polyfoam padding for enhanced comfort and covered in durable, wipe-clean nylon, ensuring long-lasting use and easy maintenance.

Positioning & Safety: The Skil-Care Lap Top Cushion offers effective wheelchair positioning control and enhanced safety, featuring a minimally restrictive design that ensures comfort while maintaining proper alignment.

Enhanced Posture & Safety: This Skil-Care Lap Top Cushion promotes proper sitting posture and safely keeps residents securely in their wheelchair. Available for both full and half-arm wheelchairs, ensuring support for various wheelchair types.

Skil-Care Specializes In:  Bed and wheelchair positioning, mattresses, skin protection, gait and transfer assistance, exercise, bariatric accessories, sensory stimulation, physical restraints and numerous other products that are essential.

Product Highlights

  • Skil-Care Lap Top Cushion With Cutouts For Half-Arm Wheelchairs may be used to control sliding
  • Helps the forward-leaning resident maintain an upright sitting posture by providing a support foundation for his/her arms or elbows
  • Available for both full and half-arm wheelchairs
  • Covered in durable, wipe-clean nylon

Unit: Each

Application:
- Lock wheelchair brakes and rotate footrests to the side of the wheelchair
- Assist resident into the wheelchair and seat him/her as far back on the seat as possible
- Position the footrests to the front of the chair and place the residents feet on them
- Place the Half-Arm Lap Top Cushion between armrest support bars with zippered side facing away from the resident and secure by positioning cutouts
- If the resident is unable to remove the Lap Top Cushion and ambulate on his/her own, the resident should be released at least every two hours for exercise, toileting, and repositioning

Cleaning:
- Lap Top Cushions may be cleaned with a spray-type cleanser and a damp cloth or sponge
- A mild disinfectant may be used if necessary
- Do not launder cover

Important:
- Lap Top Cushion generally will not be considered a physical restraint if the resident can demonstrate that he/she can remove it at all times
- Lap Cushion is considered to be a restraint for the resident who cannot remove it
- Lap Top Cushions are intended only as aids for resident positioning and safety
- They are not substitutes for proper supervision
- Residents should be checked frequently and the lap top cushion readjusted if necessary

Important notice: Both Full-Arm and Half-Arm Lap Top Cushions with Cutouts may be used to control sliding. Do not use the Lap Top without Cutouts for this purpose.
