Provides foot support and leg cushioning.

Skil-Care’s Econo Footrest Extender is designed to solve two important problems: It provides support to control foot drop and it prevents residents’ feet from slipping off the footrests. The Econo Footrest Extender is designed to fit 16"-18" and 20"-24" wide wheelchairs and geri-chairs depending on the model chosen.

Contracture Support: Tailored to accommodate existing flexion contractures, promoting better foot positioning and comfort.

Drop Foot Prevention: Aids in preventing foot drop, facilitating proper foot alignment and stability.

Enhanced Security: Features cushioned back and side panels to prevent feet from slipping off footrests, enhancing patient safety.

Durable and Easy Fit: Constructed with robust materials and adjustable straps, ensuring a durable and secure fit for most foot sizes.

Skil-Care Specializes In:  Bed and wheelchair positioning, mattresses, skin protection, gait and transfer assistance, exercise, bariatric accessories, sensory stimulation, physical restraints and numerous other products that are essential.

Unit: Each

Application
1. Before seating resident, lock wheel brakes and rotate footrests to the out-of-the-way position. Assist patient into chair and position him/her as far back on the seat as possible. Reposition footrests.
2. Place Econo Footrest Extender on footrests. Cushion section on footrest, padded backboard with straps against footrest support bars.
3. Place straps behind footrest support bars, secure buckles and tighten straps.
4. The Econo Footrest Extender may be positioned to accommodate various degrees of ankle plantar flexion. This may be accomplished by securing the top straps to the upper section of the footrest support bars.

Important Safety Note: Remove the Econo Footrest Extender and rotate the footrests to the out-of-the-way position when assisting your resident from the chair.
Do not permit your resident to stand with footrests and Econo Footrest Extender in place.
