Comfortably keeps legs in abduction and prevents hip rotation.

The contoured foam pommel keeps legs in abduction without compromising comfort. The firm foundation eliminates sling-seat hammocking to control inner thigh rotation, improve sitting posture, and reduce pressure on the spine. Available in a foam-only version for basic comfort and pressure reduction, and a gel-foam version when additional pressure relief is required. Use the level-base model for most patients, or the wedge-base model when forward sliding is a problem.

Optimal Leg Positioning: The Skil-Care Leg Abductor Cushion is designed to maintain proper leg positioning and separation, preventing adduction and reducing the risk of pressure sores and skin breakdown in the thigh and hip areas. Featuring a 5”H contoured foam pommel, it ensures effective abduction without compromising comfort.

Pressure Redistribution and Comfort: Made with high-density foam, this cushion provides both comfort and effective pressure redistribution. It's ideal for wheelchair users or individuals who require extended periods of sitting.

Important Safety Feature
Skil-Care Leg Abductors have safety ties for the purpose of securing the abductors to the wheelchair attached to the vinyl inner cover. If you choose the LSI cover model number, you will have a friendly release buckle attachment. These attachments must be used to prevent the abductors from slipping off wheelchair seats.

Cover Care
The incontinent-proof vinyl cover can be cleaned with a spray-and-wipe cleanser and damp cloth. A mild disinfectant can be used. Gel-foam models have outer cloth covers that can be laundered and dried at temperatures that do not exceed 180OF (82OC). Do not use bleach.
