Big machine

I am pleased with the strength of the machine and that our male aides can manage it for my husband who weighs 200 lbs. It is larger/longer than I anticipated and therefore too heavy/awkward for me to maneuver. I should have ordered a smaller one. With its weight, it does seem to go over the tresholds a little easier.

Overall the lift works good. The plastic bumpers keep popping off and the parts came out of the box looking a bit dirty and scratched. It just didn’t seem to be brand new. The lift works but I find the more that I can pull myself up on the handles, the more comfortable the lift experience is. The belt wants to cut under my arm. For short trips from my bed to my wheelchair it is not too bad.

A great help.

I would give this lift a one star for assembly problems. It had to be sent to a machine shop, at additional cost to me to grind and machine down metal left in the interior of the bumper adjustment channel which prohibited the insertion of the bar. It was caused by a drill pushing material into the interior. If a test assembly or quality control inspection had been done, the unit would have never been sent out like that. It should have been returned, but I am bedridden and unable to get things done in a timely manner. Be careful when purchasing this unit.

I needed this because my dad had a bad fall. I was scared to buy one. Other electric versions are almost $8000. This is well built, easy to assemble and worth its value.
