A comfortable zero pressure heel off-loading boot that is enhanced with cutouts, an extended foot support, cools and lowers pressure.

Skil-Care’s Heel-Float Plus is designed to prevent pressure sore formation by eliminating pressure on the heel, bunion, and malleoli. It provides maximum air circulation to aid in the healing of existing pressure ulcers. A water-based gel pack relieves pressure beneath the ankle. The Heel-Float Plus also features a rigid insert that prevents foot-drop.

Pressure Relief and Protection: The Skil-Care Heel-Float Plus Boot is designed to prevent pressure sores by eliminating pressure on key areas such as the heel, bunion, and malleoli. It features strategically placed cutouts that prevent pressure on the lateral and medial malleoli, as well as a foot band that secures below bunions for added protection.

Enhanced Healing and Comfort: A water-based gel insert provides targeted pressure relief beneath the ankle, while the extended foot support keeps blankets and sheets off the toes. The boot's design promotes maximum air circulation, aiding in the healing of existing sores.

Prevents Foot-Drop: The boot features a rigid insert that helps prevent foot-drop, a condition where the front part of the foot cannot be lifted, ensuring proper foot alignment and further enhancing patient comfort and safety.

Adjustable and Easy to Care for: The Heel-Float Plus Boot comes with adjustable straps that allow for multiple positioning options to ensure optimal fit and comfort. It is covered in a soft, launderable Cozy Cloth fabric, making it easy to clean and maintain hygiene. The boot also includes a removable gel pack that can be used for hot or cold therapy, enhancing its versatility for patient care.

Application
1. Place foot inside boot. The heel should be suspended over the air cavity and the malleoli should be aligned with the cutouts on the left and right sides.
2. Secure the VelcroR straps across the ankle and foot. Make certain that the foot strap is positioned below the bunion.

Important
Remove the Heel-Float Plus every 8 to 12 hours and check patient’s foot for ischemia or discoloration.

Gel-Pack
The water-based gel pack may be used for hot/cold therapy. For heat therapy, warm the gel pack in water. Do not microwave. For cold therapy, cool the gel pack in a refrigerator. Do not freeze. The gel pack is easily removed by opening the flap as the back of the Heel-Float Plus.

Easy Care
The Heel-Float Plus may be washed and dried at temperatures that do exceed 180°F (82°C). Remove gel pack (see above) and rigid foot insert.
